Dave Marley’s burning desire to prove that independent pharmacies can compete with drug chains and mail-order companies has led the Winston-Salem entrepreneur to launch a statewide initiative pitching lower generic prices.

The extended supply program, Marley’s latest salvo in a long campaign against bigger operations, offers a discount for ordering a large supply of generic maintenance drugs at one time – typically six months to a year’s worth.
