Bucking the image of the small, independent neighborhood pharmacy, Winston-Salem’s Marley Drug is taking out advertisements in the Philadelphia Inquirer and applying for pharmacy permits and making preparations to sell in nine states. A six-member marketing team brought on board in January and February is spreading out across North Carolina to pitch Marley Drug to local physicians.
