Lisinopril (pronunciation: luh·si·nuh·pruhl) is a medication used to manage high blood pressure. Lisinopril belongs to the category of ACE Inhibitors and works by relaxing blood vessels, allowing blood to flow easier. Lisinopril is the generic name. Lisinopril Dosing

Lisinopril comes in several different strengths: 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, 30 mg, 40 mg.

How to Take Lisinopril

  • Itching or a mild rash
  • Blurry vision

Lisinopril Serious Side Effects

These side effects are rare. However, if one or more of these occur, contact your pharmacist or healthcare provider as soon as possible.

  • Signs of kidney problems: swollen ankles, blood in your pee or not being able to pee
  • Severe stomach pains
  • Signs of blood/bone marrow disorder: pale skin, feeling tired, dizzy, or faint, fever, sore throat, reoccurring infections, and signs of bleeding (e.g., bruising or bleeding gums)
  • Signs of liver problems: yellowing of eyes and/or skin
