I was so frustrated with the ongoing pain and aching joints, I changed physicians and started with a brand-new primary care physician in May. Interestingly she also had high cholesterol. I had tried to take several different cholesterol medicines and everyone of them made me ache and hurt real bad. So I would just stop taking them. My doctor was concerned because my cholesterol was above 200. But I just could not take the ones she had prescribed.
So back in September 2022 after a test, she said she had a new medication Zypitamag (pitavastatin) for me to try. I was very skeptical and said ok maybe. She said I will call them and you can at least try. I said ok. Well she did and before I got home (about 30 minutes) Marley Drug had called.
So I called them back and talked to the representative who was very nice and knowledgeable. She explained everything to me and I told her I was not sure I could take the medicine. She explained that the first month is free and that would give me a chance to see if I could take it. So I signed up and received the medication in a couple days.
I immediately started it and amazingly it worked. No aches. Not hurting. I had a cholesterol test yesterday (December 28 2022) and my cholesterol was below 200. This is an amazing medicine and the representatives you talk to are excellent.

I will try to keep this simple. I am unable to tolerate statins, after trying 7 different ones. Finally a doctor suggested pitavastatin and I was able to tolerate it, but not afford it.
I have been buying pitavastatin from Canadian pharmacy. Due to the tariffs, the original place the meds came from has shut down temporarily. I was offered the option of buying it from Turkey for about $200 for a 90 day supply. I just couldn't believe that some place in the US didn't have this medication.
